July is the perfect time for summer barbecues and reveling in the company of your beautiful family. We hope you’re enjoying a safe and happy summer with your loved ones. As you’re preparing your potluck contributions — summertime side dishes and drinks — we want you to know that Essential Oils can enhance your meals! Therefore, we’ve included three easy and delicious recipes below that you could incorporate in your next family gathering. Enjoy!

Summery Fruit Salad (Featuring Wild Orange Essential Oil)
Fruit salads are delicious but not always the easiest dish to throw together, because the timing can be precarious: Waiting for certain fruits to be ripe enough or sweet enough can be a real waiting game. But with this Summery Fruit Salad that features Wild Orange Essential Oil, you can use an orange-infused honey to enrich the flavor! So, for instance, even if your kiwi are still a little sour, the orange-infused honey glaze helps to complement the tart and tangy with a little sweetness!

Ingredients
1 pint of blueberries
1 pound of quartered strawberries
3 peeled and sliced peaches
2 peeled and sliced kiwi
2 tablespoons of raw honey
4 drops of Wild Orange Essential Oil

Lemon Oil Pasta Salad (Featuring Basil Oil and Lemon Oil)
And if you’d like to provide a healthy and colorful side dish to your family barbecue, then we highly recommend this Lemon Oil Pasta Salad. You simply preheat your oven to 400 degrees. Combine the ingredients below and roast between 45 to 50 minutes (or until the vegetables are tender). Be sure to stir a couple of times and serve cold. Your guests will love it!

Ingredients
1 ½ cups of chopped zucchini
1 ½ cups of chopped yellow summer squash
1 cup of chopped red onion
¾ cup of chopped green pepper
¾ cup of chopped red pepper
3 tablespoons of olive oil
12 ounces of whole wheat bowtie pasta
2 cloves of minced garlic
1 drop of Basil Oil
1/3 cup of grated Pecorino Romano cheese
¼ cut of chopped, toasted walnuts
½ cup of olive oil
2 drops of Lemon Oil
2 cups of halved cherry tomatoes
ground black pepper
fresh basil
salt

Cinnamon Peach Smoothie (Featuring Cinnamon Bark Essential Oil)
There’s nothing like helping your family to cool off with Cinnamon Peach Smoothie. You can’t go wrong with this refreshing beverage to cool off your summer barbecue.

Simply blend some frozen peaches, plain Greek yogurt, Cinnamon Bark oil, stevia and vanilla (optional). And of course, if you opt to use fresh peaches rather than frozen ones, simply throw in a few ice cubes to your smoothie blend to give it that chilled smoothie texture.

Ingredients
¾ cup of frozen peaches
1 cup of plain Greek yogurt
1 to 2 drops of Cinnamon Bark Essential Oil
4 to 5 drops of liquid stevia
3 drops of vanilla (optional)

Simply mix the ingredients above in a blender until smooth and creamy.
